Mercury Meltdown Revolution (Ignition Entertainment)

Fun and challenging tasks, excellent controls, groovy background music

Lacks multiplayer in the Party Games section

Ignition Entertainment did well bringing Mercury Meltdown Revolution to Wii. Recommended for any puzzlers with a steady hand.

Mercury Meltdown Revolution Wii Review

Once upon a time a famous game designer known as Archer Mclean and his team at Awesome Studios (a studio that obviously liked to blow its own trumpet as they thought they were awesome and everything!) dreamed up the game concept of tilting a blob of...

Like Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, Mercury Meltdown Revolution is finally the game that showcases the most suitable manner in which to play the game, ultimately making this the version to own. It's certainly the best way to be exposed to Mercury...

Mercury Meltdown Revolution

Mercury from Archer MacLean has had a bit of a chequered history. Initially slated for a release on the PSP with a motion sensor peripheral, it eventually got released with just joypad controls. Needless to say it didn

These couple of criticisms can’t hide the fact that this is an outstanding game, with a real old school charm right at its heart. Those of us who loved some of the classic games of old will immediately warm to the familiar play and game structure of...

Mercury Meltdown Revolution

Okay, I'll level with ya'. I've recently reviewed Switchball on Xbox Live Arcade, which is possibly the finest example of a “rolling something around a maze” game I've ever played. Moving from that title to this one is probably unfair – it's like...

Great control – for once, a port that actually plays better on the Wii ; Clever puzzles ; 20 price tag

A port of a game that was already a rehash to begin with ; Frustratingly rigid camera

Mercury Meltdown Revolution may be a port of a game in a genre the Wii already has in plentiful supply, but it’s a solid port, a good game, and at an ideal price. That adds up to a great value that’s well worth checking out.

Mercury Meltdown Revolution

Take your blob of mercury through the labs again, this time with a unique style of control.

Excellent controls; colourful graphics; puzzles are original and varied.

Lots of content has been gleaned from other titles; less levels than previous iterations; camera can sometimes be unpleasant to use.
